Full Moon Ceremonies are
held throughout the temples in Bali. The Balinese that adhere
to the Hindu Dharma religion will take offering food, fruit and
flowers to the temple to be blessed by the priest. It is the essence
of these offerings that will be enjoyed by the deities. The Balinese
themselves are then blessed by performing various rituals using
holy water, smoke from incense, petals and rice grains. |

Kuningan holiday
is the last day of Galungan celebrations. It is believed that
on this day, all the ancestral spirits and deities return to heaven.
Special offerings of yellow rice and other traditional dishes
are made, and the family compounds are decorated with beautiful
ornaments made of young coconut leaves and flowers.

International Film Festival Bali
(IFFB) promises to host international film stars and
directors who will premiere their films at the Bali festival.
This festival is an extension of Jakarta’s 8th annual film festival
and will be an annual event. 8am - 5pm daily.

Ngerebong ritual is performed
by a group of temple adherents who after going into a trance state
stab themselves with a Keris - a traditional dagger. A cock fight
will also be held in the morning as part of these rituals, which
take place at Pura Petilan Pangerebongan in Kesiman village east
of Denpasar.

| 20th - 22nd |
Usaba Sadha, rituals of
the 12th month are celebrated together with the anniversary of
Pura Jero. The series of rituals conclude at 6:00pm with a blessing
ceremony that is bestowed upon elderly people. Rituals will be
held at Tenganan Pegeringsingan village.

Conrad
Christmas Eve Dinner at Suku will be a celebration
of peace with a splendid buffet dinner accompanied by the angelic
sounds of the Balinese Children’s choir & DJ/dance performance
as well as a Legong Dance from 6:30pm - 10pm. There will also
be other holiday festivities on Christmas Day for adults and children.
