 Waka
di Ume is a very different resort. An oasis of quiet
and serenity scattered down the gentle hillside flanked by rice
fields.
Everywhere at Waka Di Ume, you are surrounded by the textures
and color of nature, dressed slate, tiles, smooth unpainted
wood, soft homespun fabrics, intricate worked copper, fragrant
alang alang grass roofing, natural bamboo, rough cut stone,
flowers.
All individually controlled air conditioned rooms in the Waka
di Ume feature a private balcony with view overlooking rice
fields (except for the Lanai Taman room which has a garden view),
tub and shower bathroom, minibar with refrigerator, in room
safe (for Villas and Suites), hairdryer and international direct
dial telephone.
The Terrace Suite consists of one bed room and one living room
with one double bed and one single bed. The Waka Suite is a
two storey suite, one bedroom with twin bed on the first floor
and one bedroom with double bed on the second floor. The Palm
Suite is feature one bedroom with king size bed and a private
pool

Ubud Review |

Located 1 hour from Kuta and just high enough
to be noticeably cooler than the coast, Ubud is the calm and peaceful
cultural centre of Bali. Although there has been tremendous development
over the past few years, Ubud has managed to remain relaxed and
beautiful. Features include galleries, museums, excellent restaurants
and amazing views of ravines, rivers, terraced rice fields and
surrounding natural villages.
In order to appreciate Ubud it is advisable to
stay more than a day as one of the best ways to see the area is
to walk or cycle rides through the spectacular scenery.
